I think Leonie's comment in the tourbook, on that note, about us not knowing him, was very harsh - sounds stupid, but when I read that I felt pretty wounded, at the way she'd worded it...in a strange way it hurt me. I don't like that quote and that was one of the earlier things that started it, to be honest. Just that little quote had a tremendous effect on me I think subconsciously.

I agree completely and I was somewhat surprised that Darren allowed the tour books to be published with that quote from her in them. To say I found that comment from her rude would be an understatement.

Same here and I think that's what I found hurtful about it. Especially when she allows certain fans to get close, but that's a whole other issue, obviously.

I don't think that anyone in this thread was harsh. I felt Darren distancing himself away from his fans and I think you're right that Leonie plays a major roll in it. I didn't know about the tourbook comment but when I read it just now, I thought to myself 'What an inconsiderate bitch!'
I believe that Darren's carieer would be better handled by somebody else but as Janie said, I don't think he cares as much as he used to.
